The Role You'll Play
•Oversee full cycle of month-end and year-end close activities for a Materials Supply Company. Includes review of income statement, balance sheet and cash account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting.
•Oversee full cycle of month-end and year-end close activities for a portfolio of properties undergoing renovation. Includes review of income statement, balance sheet and cash account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting.
•Cash management and reconciliation
•Assist in monthly close and financial statement preparation.
•Review and manage all general ledger accounts.
•Assist in cost accounting activities not limited to cost accruals, job cost analysis, and WIP schedule preparation.
•Prepare general ledger and job-related journal entries.
•Sales and use tax returns.
•Cash projections and cash flow analysis.
•Participate in the review of the annual budgets working with accounting and operations personnel.
•Exhibit a comprehensive technical and functional understanding of all accounting processes (i.e. AR, AP, bank reconciliations, cash management, general ledger, financial preparation and review).
•Identify and implement process improvements where applicable.
•Mentor and train Staff Accountants.
•Preparation of various schedules for year-end audit.
•Special projects and other functions as required.
Your Building Blocks of Success
•2+ years’ experience in a Construction Company or Supply Company.
•A minimum of 3-5 years of construction accounting experience and/or supplier experience with a sound understanding of generally accepted accounting principles. Must have previous financial and GL accounting experience. NetSuite and/or Timberline (Sage 300) experience preferred.
•Strong organizational skills.

•Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office Programs.

Required Education
•Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Accounting required; CPA or MBA a plus
