The Tax Manager - Manages the State and Local Tax (SALT) function which includes compliance activities mainly related to Income/Franchise Tax, but will also include Sales/Use Tax, Property Tax and Canadian GST/HST compliance, and related research of tax laws and management of audits. The SALT Manager will also work with regional Finance leaders to assist on issues relating to VAT matters.
Key Accountabilities:
Management of State and Local Income and Franchise, sales/use and property Tax returns.
Manage the preparation and/or review of State Annual Report filings for the U.S. and Canada.
Review of estimated tax calculations and assurance of timely payment of such taxes
Management of State and local income, franchise, sales/use and property tax audits
Oversee maintenance of all SALT related system, processes and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable tax laws. Seek ways to improve on current processes within, or related to, the SALT function. This includes implementing relevant changes to processes, procedures and the accounting system.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field. Minimum 5 years of relevant tax experience. Certified Public Accountancy license required.
